​It’s officially Hurricane Season in Florida as Tropical Storm Elsa is set to make landfall soon in the Tampa area, then moving north throughout the state. While the impact of the storm on the St. Augustine and Jacksonville areas is still largely unknown, residents can likely expect some heavy rain and wind moving into Wednesday.

Keep a Hurricane Supply Kit –

If you’re forced to evacuate quickly, you want to make sure you have necessary supplies to last a few days in the event of an unforeseen circumstance! Non-perishable food and water is always a good idea, but you may also need items like blankets, pet care supplies, portable chargers and a change of clothes. Even if you aren’t evacuating, stores may sell out fast, so it’s smart to be prepared beforehand.

When hurricanes or tropical storms begin brewing, many insurance carriers issue binding restrictions.
