Get in the holiday spirit - events in St. Augustine, Jax

​The holidays are quickly approaching! The Oldest City offers plenty of holiday spirit for those looking, most notably with Nights of Lights each year. 

But if you’re looking for other ways to get your seasonal twinkly-light fix, look no further.

Regatta of Lights –

Taking place on the bayfront in downtown St. Augustine on Dec. 11 at 6 p.m., various types of boats will take to the bay to show off their holiday light displays. With the reflection off the water, it’s sure to be a magical time for all. The Regatta of Lights will also award those participating for the best displays. Be sure to arrive early to get a spot with a great view!

Beach Blvd. Block Party & Fireworks –

The holidays aren’t over yet on Dec. 31 as businesses on St. Augustine beach will be joining this event with specials, music and other activities. At 8:30, you can watch fireworks by the water to celebrate the New Year. Definitely don’t want to miss this festive all-day event.

Dazzling Nights at Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens –

The Arboretum & Botanical Gardens have transformed into a walk-through, family friendly event featuring over a million lights and other exciting interactive holiday displays. Take a trip down the ¾ mile path and get lost in another world! While tickets must be purchased in advance, a free shuttle is offered for transportation to the gardens. The event takes place through January 9, 2022.

Blackhawk Trail in Jacksonville –

What is typically just a neighborhood during the regular months of the year, 1435 Blackhawk Trail in Jacksonville attracts many visitors during the holiday season because of its light display. Families in the area sponsor the show and it will remain open for all to enjoy through Christmas. Stars twinkle above the street, the trees are covered in lights and lasers create a special holiday feel.
