St. Augustine, Florida, is well-known for many things, including it's October pumpkin patches! It’s finally fall in Saint Augustine, Florida, and although the city’s annual pumpkin patches at local churches have certainly dwindled due to COVID-19, some organizations are still open for the month of October.
One of the city’s largest pumpkin patches is located annually at the First United Methodist Church on King Street downtown. After a delay in the pumpkin’s delivery, the church finally began welcoming visitors last week. The patch is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until pumpkins run out, with prices ranging from 50 cents to $35. Plus, proceeds go to helping youth and children ministries and missions. In addition, the Lord of Life Lutheran Church located in North Ponte Vedre Beach is open daily from 1 p.m. to sunset on weekdays, 9 a.m. to sunset on Saturday and 11 a.m. to sunset on Sunday. Handwashing stations are also available at this patch along with a wagon to help visitors take their pumpkins to their car. Lord of Life is also in the running for the ‘Jax Best’ category of pumpkin patch on News4Jax.com.
