✨Breast Cancer Awareness Month✨

As most of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. BCAM is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities. This campaign is used to increase awareness of the disease, raise funds for research into its cause, and help prevent, diagnose, treat and cure the awful disease. 

There are many local businesses participating in raising funds for Breast Cancer in the month of October. One particular that we would like to note is The Annual Unity Pink Motorcycle Ride and Event. The ride will be taking place on Saturday, October 12th, beginning at 8:30 AM, and ending around 2:00 PM. The police-escorted ride begins at the new Adamec Harley Davidson in St. Augustine at the Outlet Malls. The event is family friendly and will provide live music, food, raffle items, silent auction and a variety of vendors!

Admission: The event is FREE for spectators! Registration for a single rider is $25, which includes a T-shirt, Goody Bag and Lunch and $10 extra for a passenger (includes T-shirt and lunch).  Online registration ends on October 10th at 12pm, however you can bring the registration form on the day of the ride and still register between the hours of 8:30 and 10:30. Kick stands are up at 10:30 AM! 

All of the funds raised through this event will go to Unity Outreach, which is a non-profit that works to create awareness and provide monetary support for women who are currently undergoing breast cancer treatment, as well as survivors! Unity Outreach, Inc was founded by two sisters, Peggy Jones and Sherry Turner. Their mission is to support other families and patients battling breast cancer. All the funds raised by Unity Outreach stay in the local community to help with needs not covered by insurance, or other agencies, which may include co-pays, medicines, treatments and supplies. ​
